How to Submit

Entries are submitted under a pseudonym. Entries are judged by the Jury entirely anonymously.

Here’s how it works:

  • Choose a pseudonym — any word or phrase that doesn’t identify you (not your own name).
  • Put the pseudonym at the top of your entry (PDF), above the text. Aside from this, the PDF must contain only the text itself — no name, contact details, or any other identifying information may appear on the file.
  • State your pseudonym and your personal details in the subject line and body of your email (this information goes only to the organiser — the Jury never sees it).

Send your entry by email to: [email address – TBC]

Subject line: YUHU-DÍJ 2027 – [your pseudonym]

The body of your email must include:

  • Pseudonym
  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Declaration of Originality: “I declare that the submitted entry is solely my own, independent intellectual creation, and does not contain text generated by artificial intelligence.”

Attachment:

  • Your entry as a PDF file, labeled with your pseudonym
  • Aside from the pseudonym, the PDF must contain only the text itself — no name, contact details, or any other identifying information may appear on the file.

The organiser forwards received entries to the Jury labeled only with the pseudonym, with no personal data. The organiser keeps the link between the pseudonym and the applicant’s identity confidential, and discloses it only when results are announced.

Prize

  • Publication of the winning entry in [selected publications – TBC]
  • A monetary prize

The Organiser does not undertake an unconditional obligation to award the prize by publishing this Call for Entries. If, in the Jury’s assessment, none of the entries submitted in a given year meet the professional standard set out in this Call for Entries, the Organiser may withhold the prize (the prize will not be awarded that year).

If, in the Jury’s assessment, more than one entry is equally deserving of recognition, the Organiser is entitled to split the prize (the monetary prize and/or the publication opportunity) between multiple entries.

The final decision on awarding, withholding, or splitting the prize — taking the Jury’s recommendation into account — rests with the Organiser.

Legal Terms

By submitting an entry, the applicant confirms that the submitted text is their own, original intellectual creation, and does not infringe the rights of any third party. Text fully generated by artificial intelligence may not be submitted; the use of grammar, spell-check, or editing-assistance tools is permitted.

The organiser reserves the right to request documentation of the work’s creative process (e.g. earlier drafts, notes) from finalists or the winner; if the applicant cannot demonstrate the work’s authentic creative process, the organiser may disqualify the entry or withdraw an already-awarded prize.

Copyright in the submitted work remains with the applicant.

Copyright Declarations and Warranty

By submitting the entry, the applicant warrants that they are the exclusive copyright holder of the work, and that no third party holds any right that would hinder or restrict the use of the work.

The applicant further warrants that the work does not contain any element which they are not authorised to permit the use of.

License to Use

By submitting the entry, the applicant grants the organiser a non-exclusive, free license to use the work for communication, promotional, press, and publication purposes related to the competition, covering the modes of use necessary for this.

The organiser is entitled to sublicense this use to third parties.

This license does not affect the applicant’s copyright: copyright in the submitted work remains with the applicant at all times.

Use for Promotional Purposes

By submitting the entry, the applicant consents to YUHU-DÍJ using their name, short biography, and excerpts from the submitted work for communication, promotional, and publication purposes related to the competition.

Plagiarism, Infringement

In case of suspected plagiarism or infringement, the organiser reserves the right to disqualify the entry or withdraw the prize.

Tax Obligation

All tax and other public-duty payment, declaration, and related obligations connected with the monetary prize fall solely on the winning applicant.

Data Processing

By submitting the entry, the applicant consents to the processing of their personal data for the purpose of administering the competition, as set out in the Privacy Notice [link – TBC].
